Two letters sent two Robert Ries, with production for the Grant County PUD. The first is about river transportation, a subject which Relander describes as "gigantic in scope" and one which he could write a publication about. He also briefly discusses the sculptures he wants to do at the dam. The second letter includes a lengthy synopsis of Columbia River "transportation" and "a partial list: potential sources for extended research covering relics, pictorial and documentary information for the Columbia River, Main Street of the Pacific Northwest."en_US
