dc.description.abstract"During years that Fort Simcoe was vacated and records thrown out first by one person and then another, many were carted off, stamp collectors worked through them ripping envelopes in half (with the contents) etc. I have worked at the agency and among these records so long (the unfiled ones are just stored in loose boxes and will eventually we hope revert into historical archives) that I know where most of them can be found, whereas the agent would have to make an extended search."en_US
