dc.description.abstract"Near the close of the Bannock war a few renegades who had been concerned in the trouble moved north of the Columbia, murdered a white family by the name of Perkins and stayed in the Sinkiuse country. Howard went to Moses' camp with a strong body of troops and Moses agreed to deliver up the murderers if they could be found. In December, 1878, an agreement was made at the Yakima agency by which twenty white volunteers were to act with some of Moses' men in searching for the fugitive band."en_US
