Ewers, with the Smithsonian Institution, and is an attempt to obtain a Lewis and Clark Medal from them, also known as the Indian Peace Medal, which he had heard was possible. He wants the medal for the Wanapum Dam Tourist Center. The second letter is a short one to the superintendent of the United States Mint, ordering two Jefferson Peace Medals.en_US
