dc.description.abstract"They tell me that they have been interviewed numerous times by Yakimas who wish them to enroll. I've refused to discuss the matter with them, and they voluntarily say that it is against their belief and that the Old Man (Puck Hyah Toot) told them long ago not to enroll. It is a rather astonishing performance from people who are looking for nothing, but are merely sticking to their convictions. Whether the various per capita payments from timber etc. in the future will change the picture or not, I do not know."en_US
