Abstract
Two letters dealing with the Jefferson Peace Medal. The first is to John C. Ewers, senior scientist at the Smithsonian Institution and also answers questions posed by Ewers about the Weaseltail death inquiry with an enclosure, and clay pipes and the Yakimas. He also discusses the history of the headdress. Very informational letter. The second letter is a short one to the director of the U.S. Mint and encloses a postal note to order two Jefferson Peace Medals.
