Abstract

"The Sidney Hillman Foundation will award prizes of $500 each for outstanding contributions dealing with themes relating to the ideals which Sidney Hillman held throughout his life, and which he expressed in the words reproduced at right. Such themes would include the protection of individual civil liberties, improved race relations, a strengthened labor movement, the advancement of social welfare and economic security, greater world understanding, and related problems."
