Abstract
Relander agrees with J. H. Gipson, president of Caxton Printers, and the head reader, that quotes are unnecessary. He explains why he used them. He is confused, though, about switching the brackets to parentheses, since he had seen the brackets in L. V. McWhorter's manuscript, hand done, so had gone to extra effort to equip his typist with a typewriter that had bracket keys.
