Abstract
"Three Yakima Indian tribal leaders urged the House Indian Affairs subcommittee to defeat a measure dealing with the inheritance of restricted or trust property belonging to individual Yakimas. Robert Jim, chairman of the Yakima Tribal Council and Eagle Seelatsee and Joe Meninick, members of the tribal enrollment committee testified that the measure was voted down 137 to 3 by the tribal members as a whole."
