Abstract
"Mr. Olson of the Seattle Rubber Stamp Company informs me that the bronze tablet will include not only the likeness of Dr. Bowers but also the following words: George Winfiled Bowers His long and distinguished service as Professor of Chemistry (1925-60) and President of the College (1938-55) contributed most significantly to the development and recognition of Walla Walla College. If there is any further question concerning this, please let me know -- for once it is set in bronze, it is really permanent!"
