Abstract
"Republicans took over control of a majority of the 50 State Houses in the country with the upset victory of Louie B. Nunn over Democrat Henry Ward in Kentucky's gubernatorial election yesterday. The Kentucky win will give the Republicans 26 out of the 50 governorships and mark the first time since 1955 that Republican Governors have outnumbered their Democratic counterparts."
