Troyer, Public Relations Rpn. for the Union Pacific Railroad, Relander mentions notice of the Union Pacific in the paper in the hopes that "you can see that the Frontier Museum's application for Union Pacific 'foundation' help gets into the proper channel in your office in Portland, and if too late this year, can be properly re-referred."Item "...You will understand that this possibility to augment the dam(s) is strictly confidential."(UNPUBLISHED, 1964-04-22) Relander, ClickTwo letters sent two Robert Ries, with production for the Grant County PUD. The first is about river transportation, a subject which Relander describes as "gigantic in scope" and one which he could write a publication about. He also briefly discusses the sculptures he wants to do at the dam. The second letter includes a lengthy synopsis of Columbia River "transportation" and "a partial list: potential sources for extended research covering relics, pictorial and documentary information for the Columbia River, Main Street of the Pacific Northwest."Item "Your project of cornhusk bags is a large one, and certainly a subject which has not received a proper amount of attention."(UNPUBLISHED, 1964-04-13) Relander, ClickExtensive information on the Shawaway's is given to Mrs. Charles B. Kimball, who is planning a project of cornhusk bags. Other family genealogy is given, including the Sohappy's. He also gives information on cornhusk bags and ceremonies in this lengthy letter.
