dc.description.abstract"The sisters of St. Elizabeth's hospital, ever mindful of the good of the numerous patients under their care, assisted by a number of prominent ladies in the city whose sympathy and means made the affair possible, gave a very pleasant Christmas tree to the inmates on Christmas eve. There was a reminder of the tree for every person in the hospital. This was the first Christmas tree ever planted in our hospital, but it is hoped it will not be the last one."en_US
