dc.description.abstract"The new fire engine ordered several months ago by the council arrived this weekend pending the completion of the new town hall where it will be housed it is being kept in the Gilbert building. The new engine is a 60-gallon affair. A volunteer fire department will at once be formed. The engine just received cost $800. The lack of a fire department heretofore has on several occasions endangered the town through fire, as many of the oldest structures are frame buildings and close together."en_US
