dc.description.abstract"My sister's house was built of shakes. Where I taught on Camas Prairie there was a log house. No saw mills at first. There are two parts of houses standing. Theodore Suchsdorf on the old Joslyn place is the only man living here now who was here when I came. The was a narrow path around Ball mountain. I rode horseback over that trail. I was so frightened I stopped at Gilmer's and George took me the rest of the way. Wagon wheels were chained for brakes over the mountain road."en_US
