dc.description.abstract	"Oct. 8th at a meeting of the council the Indians objected to having John Dinah tried in the U. S. court and protested that they could and would settle their own affairs if allowed to do so. Their decision was that John Dinah were to be imprisoned here one year at the agency and to pay a fine of ten horses or more. John Dinah were taken to court on the 9th of October, 1878 and an indictment found against them for murder in the first degree."	en_US
