dc.description.abstract"One of the stories was about the time the chiefs were notified by the Boston Men near Ahtanum (place of quiet for many people) that Chief Kamiakin was to go to Walla Walla. They learned that the Pushtans wanted their land. The Black Robes, (Chamok Tat Pas) also told them at there were many Pushtans coming and would soon crowd them out of their good lands like they had done to the Calapooias in Oregon."en_US
