dc.description.abstract"Congressman Jones of this state has introduced a bill in congress providing for the purchase of government grazing lands. In brief, the provisions of this bill provide for the purchase of any of the public lands that are available valuable chiefly for grazing, and that are not located on any Indian or military reservation. No person would be permitted to purchase land under this act who did not own land contiguous to that desired. Neither could any one person purchase more than 320 acres. The Democrat is not in sympathy with any legislation so far proposed for either selling or leasing the grazing lands of the government."en_US
