dc.description.abstractBegins, "referring to remarks relative to the imperfect manner in which these accounts are submitted, the frequent erasures and interlineations +c, I respectfully refer to remarks preceding my reply to Suspension of my Cash Accounts for this quarter - viz that the great amount of work in the Office in the 4th Qr of 1882 required the temporary employment of an assistant to the Clerk, who being inexperienced in that special work made errors, which were not detected in time to make out new sets of papers, and I was compelled to correct them hastily and send them forward."
