dc.description.abstract"The Northern Pacific land department has announced that beginning June 1 the rate of interest on contracts for the purpose of lands will be reduced from 7 to 6 per cent. All the railroad lands are being reappraised. Land Agent Cooper says the appraisement will probably result in an average reduction in prices of one third, compared with prices at which they were formerly listed. The object of the change of policy is to induce rapid settlement of the railroad land."en_US
