dc.description.abstract"A special Woman's day at the state fair is one of the plans now being talked up for the coming fair in September. Mrs. Emma Smith DeVoe, known throughout the state as an active worker in the interests of women was in the city yesterday and conferred with Secretary Pace of the fair commission and Miss Lombard, superintendent of the women's building, about advisability of having one day set apart especially for women.... While Mrs. DeVoe is an advocate of equal suffrage and will no doubt have this movement represented at a booth in the Woman's building, a special day devoted to women will not be a suffrage affair."en_US
