dc.description.abstract"Gentlemen, since the city of North Yakima was incorporated by act of the territorial legislature, commonly known as the city charter, approved January 27, 1886, the territory has been admitted to a state an in consequence the organic act has been superseded by the state constitution as the supreme law of the land. As a result of the change many of the grants and limitations of power contained in our present city charter are incompatible with the constitution of the state and become void upon its adoption."en_US
