dc.description.abstract" One of the daughters, now Mrs. Sickler, recalling those yesteryears said: 'We had such good times, better than people have nowadays. We had horseback riding, had picnics often and on the Fourth of July had a huge picnic. One year there was to be a big parade. Each state was to be represented by a girl. We bought material and made white dresses and looked forward eagerly to a marvelous day. But before the parade was formed, the valley was swept by snow and hail. Disappointed we sought shelter in Centennial hall and held the exercises there. We had socials, Christmas trees, great revival meetings. Father Wilbur was a man of charming personality. Of the man I remember best, he was the most impressive; a kind man so full of purpose'."en_US
