dc.description.abstract"The trip with Tomalawash and Puck Hyah Toot was very successful and all the old burials were intact. I had no difficulty understanding them and we were able to get close to all except the one on Locke Island. Am enclosing the maps you furnished, with locations of the burials, and also the old village sites marked. As you know, the Indian Camps were controlled by the amount of firewood, so the actual size was probably larger than indicated. If there were any burials on the north side of the Columbia River they did not point them out to me."en_US
