dc.description.abstract"SIM-KWEE-Low gap or saddle in hills, northeast of Fort Simcoe State Park, name for that specific gap which is location of proposed $5,500,000 White Swan Irrigation Project Dam, and name for hills, valley, mountain and creek. It was the name given to the station at present Wapato by the Northern Pacific. Spelled Sim-co-ee on early correspondence of Army officers. It is from this word that Simcoe was derived."en_US
