dc.description.abstract"General Manager Hopkins of the Inland Telephone company, was in town this week and gave out the information that the work of construction on the new 'long distance line' would soon commence. When completed this proposed extensions will give Yakima connection on the west with the Sound cities and on the east as far as Boise, Idaho. A night and day exchange it is said will be put in here, this giving Yakima a truly metropolitan service."en_US
