Abstract

Preparing to unveil the Memorial Fountain Statue located at 3rd Street and Yakima Avenue. Statue of John Jacob Weisenberger dedicated on July 4, 1902. Erected in memory of the "Fallen" of Company E., 1 Washington U.S. Voluntary Infantry 1898-1899. Major J.J. Weisenberger was in command of the First Battalion, including Company E from North Yakima. J.J. Weisenberger, former mayor of Whatcom, was among the 71 representatives who signed the original Washington State Constitution.. North Yakima
