dc.description.abstract"The Chinese New Years Day, which commenced last Monday, was celebrated by the followers of Confucius in ample form, extending through several days. They gave several large dinner parties which were enlivened with music. By the by, the Chinese do not appear to have much taste in music, or a discord in harsh sounds has lost its power to please. Which is which, we frankly confess we do not know."en_US
