dc.description.abstract"It must be remembered that when they arrived here they were utterly destitute of everything. It is impossible to conceive of a people more poverty stricken than they were. We have done what we could for them, but they are still in great measure exposed to the inclements of the weather, destitute of clothing and entirely dependent on the agent for the means of subsistence. I would therefore urge the necessity for some special provision to provide food and clothing for these Indians."en_US
