dc.description.abstractFort Borst blockhouse, built in 1856 in Centralia, WA. Constructed by soldiers under Captain Francis Goff for grain storage. Settlers Joseph and Adeline Borst bought the building after the Indian Wars and continued to use it for grain storage. It was physically moved in 1919 and 1922 under threat of flooding by the nearby Chehalis River.en_US
