dc.description.abstract"According to the Union List of Newspapers, the earliest newspaper published in Yakima (as, no doubt, you know) was the Yakima Record (weekly) September 6, 1879 - 1884. The University of Washington has this run, but it is probably not complete. Since the microfilming of the Yakima papers has been handled locally, we have done no work on them so have not checked with the University as to the completeness of its holdings. This we are doing now in order to add to the microfilm copies we have been buying through the Herald office."en_US
