dc.description.abstract	"From the earliest days army men recommended that fish be planted in the Sequoia park waters. In 1894, through the Sportsmen's Club of Visalia and the California Fish and Game Commission, Capt James Parker succeeded in obtaining 20,000 young fish which were planted in the Marble Fork and its tributaries. These and succeeding plants must have been successful as the report of the Acting Superintendent 1908 shows that a woman fishing in the park on August 20, 21 and 22 caught 242 trout some of which were 14 inches long and none less than 14."	en_US
