dc.description.abstract"Modern Fire Engine House. Many Changes made in Preparation for Fire Engine and Team. Fire Chief Hauser had a force of men at work the latter half of last week and the first two days of this making many important changes in the fire engine room, the lower floor of the city hall. The big front doors were set in four feet; two stalls were made for the fire department's team of horses, and a pole was put in to allow the firemen to get from their rooms on the second floor to the ground in the least possible time; besides many minor improvements. After the fire alarm system is installed and the chemical engine is received the city of North Yakima will have a modern efficient fire department."en_US
