dc.description.abstract"The two balloon ascensions of Thursday and Friday passed off most successfully, there being no hitch whatever in the two daring feats of the aerial voyager, all the conditions being perfect. The professor ascended to an altitude of about 1000 feet on both occasions. The Indians especially were the most interested spectators and stood around in open mouthed wonder. One big buck was heard to remark in 'Chinook' to some of his companions that 'the white man would get smart enough after while to find his way to heaven in a balloon.'"en_US
