dc.description.abstract"Mose Splawn, age 90, was killed this afternoon when he was struck by a truck driven by J. A. Bovey of Deer Park Wash. Splawn was crossing Yakima avenue when he was struck by the truck which apparently he did not see. He was living when picked up but died even before reaching St. Elizabeth hospital. Splawn was the last survivor of the Splawn brothers who came west with their mother in one of the covered wagon trains and contributed much to the pioneer development of the valley. He was one of the leaders in the Boise gold basin rush."en_US
