dc.description.abstract"In 1871 they came to the Yakima Valley and settled in the Naches Valley. For two years they lived there then they moved to the Cowiche and lived there until Mr. Tigard's death in 1898. The place is now known as the 'Huntington Place'. Mr. Tigard was an active progressive farmer and devoted his time to improving his farm and making his crops and herds as outstanding ones."en_US
