Abstract

"In answer to your recent request I have asked Miss Clara Kelly, our Photocopy Librarian, to prepare a negative Photostat of the Fort Simcoe drawing described in your letter. The Seattle man who prepared the pamphlet on the forts of Washington is Mr. J. S. Whiting. We have several old Simcoe photographs including the (crossed out), the ruins of the Indian school, groups of employees and children, Captain Priestley and family at the agency house, and Captain Priestley and Chief White Swan. I presume you have seen the rotogravure section of the Seattle Daily Times for December 17, 1939."
