Abstract

"The home land of the Nez Perce Indians is far from Yakima but the most important history ever written of the people started in a pasture near the Yakima Fairgrounds. It was written because of the dogged persistence of a Yakima man who made the cause of the Indians his cause and fought for justice, almost single handed against public opinion and Government bureaucracy."
