dc.description.abstract"A. J. Splawn, if elected, and he doubtless will be, will make a creditable representative of this county in the state legislature. He is allied with no political clique or ring, and no corporation has or can have strings upon him. While neither an orator or a politician, he is nevertheless well qualified to assume the duties of a legislator, for the reason that nature has richly endowed him with tact and good horse sense, while the experience gained from a busy life, the most of which has been spent in this county, has thoroughly taught him what the people here need in the way of legislation."en_US
