dc.description.abstract"Around 1870 a white woman and her small daughter, a white man and a number of Chinamen were washing gold somewhere in the vicinity of the present site Wenatchee. Indians chased them out and they took refuge in some canyon where they buried a vast quantity of gold dust. They placed rocks in the shape of a diamond with a center rock. The Chinamen were killed by the Indians but the whites escaped. A few years ago the girl was in the vicinity looking for the treasure."en_US
