dc.description.abstract"In regards to the conduct of Interpreter Chapman in holding frequent consultations with the Piutes without your knowledge or consent, with a view to conducting them to their old homes," tell the Piutes that "he came upon the reservation without any authority or permission from their 'Great Father,'" and if he returns, he will be, "arrested, and punished to the full extent of the law."
