Tuesday 17 Helped raise a house for Battees Harris. Took dinner with me. Spent the afternoon washing and reading. Wednesday 18 Went below in the morning, gathered some frulu (pulu) for a pillow. Bought a dog. Commenced mending my boots, perplexing work."
