dc.description.abstract"On the West side of the Naches River about 1/4 of a mile North West of the Eshboch Park - there is a sagebrush flat. On this flat a fort was constructed of willow baskets filled with dirt -- Trenches were dug around this fort which was used by Gen. G. B. McClellan when he came to the Naches valley to quiet the Indian uprising. For years after his departure - curio seekers could find old shoes parts of soldiers uniforms - parts of guns (rifles) brass buttons etc." Written on reverse of Dockets and "Cancellation Notice at Company's Election."en_US
