dc.description.abstract"The Iowa State University Press has expressed an interest in this proposed book and I only hope they will be interested in what I want to say in it. I think, as I know you do, that the Indians have a point in resisting the white man's culture. In Tama the Indians have been confused even by their friends, and just recently when the Department of HEW proposed improving sanitation the settlement 70% of them refused even to respond to the idea. I think they were afraid there was something back of it that they had not had made plain to them."en_US
