Abstract
"About noon Father Pandoza, Christian Chooskun and about 50 Indians came in. I went and to receive the Father and conducted him with Chooskun and two other chiefs to Col. Wright's tent. The Indians were all admitted and after a short talk the colonel made them an address briefly stating to them his wishes and instructions. Dined. Sat down and played Brag for several hours and lost $16 was called off and then examined and completed the muster rolls and turned them over to the colonel for examination. Found him again conversing with Father Pandoza and the Indians and listened to the talk. The question was put by Chooskun, categorically as to the fate of three Indians not naming them if they came into our camp as friends. The colonel discussed that if they were murders they would be tried, that we would not send them over to the Sound but have them tried here."
