Abstract

"Five hundred Yakima Indians who from Sunday noon until into Monday held their annual spring feast are today sadly returning to their homes with some regret that the days when as many as 3,000 tepees were set up for the great festivity are no more. Early in the afternoon the annual feast with fish, roots and dried fruits, elk and deer meat as the delicacies was held and in the evening the ceremonial tribal bronzed dancers clothed in gorgeous trappings in feathers, furs and bead work were held."
