"Plans have been completed for caring for over 500 colored citizens of Yakima and the valley at the annual Emancipation celebration at the Union Gap park tomorrow.... The Colored Giant baseball club will play the Harrah team as part of the sport program which includes foot races and dancing. The celebration will be in the nature of a barbecue."
