Abstract
"Further along in the outline of the claim, it is stated that 'as a result of the trespass upon these lands of the Nez Perce Tribe, valuable deposits of gold were discovered on said lands of the Nez Perce Tribe in the fall of 1860. Thereupon, miners and settlers in large numbers unlawfully, over the protest of the Nez Perce Tribe, came upon the lands of the Nez Perce Tribe."
