"This date, on reading again in Maj. Haller's journal (your typescript copy Diary 1856 (found a blank page where Page 25 should have been. Next page is 26 after 24. I think what you did was to put the carbon in wrong side up, and believe that on examining your copy you will find that you Page 25 has undecipherable copy on the back."
