Abstract
"Last year the Washington State Historical Society inaugurated a competition among Washington newspapers for the preservation of state and local history. Two plaques were awarded, one in the daily field and the other for the weekly papers, identical plaques but for the separate fields. We are now at the end of the second year and papers planning entries should get their materials together."
